2 Police officers killed, injured in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A police officer was killed while another was wounded due to an Improvised Explosive Device explosion in western Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that ”The IED, which was emplaced at roadside, exploded, targeting a police emergency regiment in Shaji area of western Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province ,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing police Major and injuring police officer.”

The source added “The police transported the dead body to the morgue and the injured officer to the hospital for treatment.” \
