Maliki returns to Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki and accompanying delegation returned to Baghdad on Friday evening after concluding his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the Non-Aligned States Movement Summit.
Maliki has headed to Tehran on last Wednesday to participate in the 16th Summit for the NASM which started on Thursday and ended on Friday with participation of 120 States.
The Summit discussed several files including the Palestinian case as well as the Syrian crisis in addition to the right of States to possess peaceful nuclear power.
The end of the Summit witnessed approving the final statement of the Summit by the Presidents and senior political officials of the 160 States participating in the Summit.
The Iranian President announced at the conclusion of the Summit that “Venezuela will host the next Summit of the NASM.”
Media sources reported that the final statement of NASM stressed to reject issues like racial discrimination, enmity for Islam and Islamophobia in addition to emphasizing the necessity to eliminate nuclear weapons in the world and supports Iranian right to possess peaceful nuclear technology.
