MP Khudhari appreciates Esawi’s performance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hamid al-Khudhari of the Citizen Bloc appreciated the projects achieved by Baghdad Mayor Sabir al-Esawi while he was on his post.

Khudhari said to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “No doubt Esawi achieved many successful projects while he was the Mayor of Baghdad,” noting that “If Esawi has committed clear corruption, the Iraqi National Alliance would be the first side to interrogate him and face him with evidences.”

“It is not suitable to give unsuitable and irresponsible statements over former Baghdad Mayor because he played a great role in rebuilding Baghdad despite the huge pressures practiced by certain blocs to criticize Esawi,” he added, stressing “This is not the first when Esawi submits his resignation for the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, but the PM used to reject those resignations.”
