Workshop on media’s role in resolving conflicts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Association for Defending Journalists’ Freedoms on Saturday held a Baghdad-based workshop on the role of the mass media in resolving disputes in the country. “The workshop will last for two days and is organized in coordination with the Iraqi Insan Association,” the head of the Association for Defending Journalists’ Freedoms, Ibrahim al-Siraji, told IraqiNews.com. The Iraqi Insan Association is a non-governmental organization concerned with human rights culture and is based in Kurdistan’s Sulaimnaiya city. The workshop was held at the Oil Cultural Center in downtown Baghdad with the participation of 25 journalists and a number of academicians. SS (P) 1
