SGSS sets corner stone for holyi shrine in Babel

Babel (IraqiNews.com) The Secretariat General of the Shiite Shrines set the corner stone for the works of building and expanding the holy shrine of Bakr bin Imam Ali (peace be upon him) demanding to form a commission comprising specialized engineers to supervise constructing works in the Shrine.

The Secretary General for Shiite Shrines, Abdul Wadud al-Saadi, stated to IraqiNews.com “Setting the foundation for expanding the shrine came in coordination with the Provincial Council of Babel province and funded by the Shiite Endowment.”

“The construction will be according to the modern Islamic style which commensurate with the importance of the shrine and the number of its visitors from inside and outside Iraq,” Saadi added.
