Iraqi veep stresses active ties with Turkey BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Sunday underlined the importance of having the Iraqi-Turkish Friendship Association play its role in cementing socio-economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries. “Any strenuous efforts that would help further ties in those domains between Iraq and Turkey will be backed,” Hashemi was quoted in a release by his office and received by IraqiNews.com.
