US delegation visits Talabani in Germany

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani discussed, at his residence in Germany, with an American delegation, comprised Carlos Pascual and Jonathan Alkend, the latest developments on the Iraqi, regional and international arenas.

Presidential statement cited “The US delegation congratulated Talabani for the success of the surgery he underwent, wishing him speedy recovery and safe return to Iraq to participate in settling the pending issues between the Central Government and Kurdistan Region.”

“The US delegation reiterated the support of the US Government for the Iraqi People to settle the current political crisis that hurdle the development of Iraq,” the statement added.

“For his part, President Talabani appreciated the visit of the delegation, stressing that all pending issues and the current crisis in Iraq would be settled through adhering to the Constitution and former agreements as well as through the fraternal meetings and dialogue,” the statement concluded.
