Members of Anbar PC decide to visit Nijaifi to discuss approving nominating new head of PC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Some members of Anbar Provincial Council who have objected over nominating, Jasim al-Halbosi, as the new head of the Anbar PC, decided to visit the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi in order to observe his opinion over approving electing Halbosi.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), the member of Anbar PC, Hikmat Ayada, said “Some of the members who object electing Halbosi decided to form a delegation to visit Nijaifi to discuss Nijaifi’s approval of nominating Halbosi, which was brought by some MPs of Anbar province, to realize the reality of his contradicting stance since Nijaifi has already called to postpone the election of the new head of the PC till settling the corruption issue filed against the former head of Anbar PC, Mamoun al-Alwani.”

“Halbosi was also accused of corruption and we think it is very hard to nominate him before settling the corruption issues against him,” he added, pointing out “We will continue to serve the citizens of Anbar province.”
