Free Zones Dept. to conclude largest investment contract in oil, gas soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Office for the Free Zones within the Finance Ministry announced that it will “conclude soon the largest investment contract in field of oil and gas with Basra International Center for Oil and Gas in the free zone of Khor Al-Zubair district in Basra province.

A statement by the Office quoted the Director General of the Office, Sabah al-Qaisi, as saying “Basra International Center for Oil and Gas reached an agreement with the Free Zones Bureau to establish a project specialized in presenting the logistic services for the oil and gas sector after getting the official approvals.”

“This project is considered as the largest investment contract concluded by the Free Zones since it will supply the investment sector with great economic refenues through providing jobs, attracting modern technology and capitals as well as contributing to developing the Iraqi economy,” the statement added.
