Jihishi describes meetings between Nijaifi, Maliki as Positive step

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Othman al-Jihishi, described the meetings between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, as “a positive step.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “These meetings are considered as a positive step to push the political process forward since they head the Executive and Legislative authorities,” noting that “Any political tensions negatively affect the security and economical situation in the country.”

” The political leaders have no other choice except settling the political crisis and bringing the various views closer because the regional situations especially the Syrian one oblige them to unite to face any foreign threats,” he concluded.
