Germany invites Iraq to investment conference

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy German Ambassador to Iraq Alexander Schoenfeld confirmed that his country will “invite Iraq to participate in an investment conference to be hold during the next months.”

The Presidency of the Iraqi Republic reported in statement that ”The Head of the Presidential Office, Naseer al-Ani, hosted Schoenfeld at his office on Wednesday and the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.”

The statement added that ”Ani confirmed during the meeting the desire of Iraq to develop the bilateral relations with Germany in all fields, especially in the economic and commercial sectors,” stressing ”The importance of exchanging experiences to achieve the mutual benefits for the people of Germany and Iraq.”

The statement pointed out that ”The Deputy German Ambassador confirmed his country’s willingness to promote bilateral relations with Iraq,” noting that “Iraq holds important position among other countries and Germany will organize an investment conference during the next months and Iraq is invited to attend it.” \
