Iraqi govt. approved “submission” deal – AMS

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Sunni Association of Muslim Scholars (AMS) said on Sunday that the Iraqi government has approved a deal of “submission” to the U.S. administration, terming the agreement as one that would entrench a “despicable occupation”. “The agreement will allow the U.S. occupation forces in Iraq to stay for three years after the UN mandate is due to expire late this year,” the AMS said in a statement published on its web site. The Iraqi cabinet on Sunday approved with an overwhelming majority a long-term security pact with the United States, to be referred to the Iraqi parliament for debate. AmR (P) 1
