2 IEDs explode in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Six people were either killed or injured due to explosion of two Improvised Explosive Devices in northern Tikrit city, the capital of Salah-il-Din province.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that ”The first IED exploded targeting an Army patrol in Edheem neighborhood within Shurqat district (120 KM) to the east of Tikrit city,” noting that “The explosion resulted in injuring three Iraqi Army soldiers, among them a Major, and two civilians who were accidentally near the explosion area.”

The source added “Another IED exploded when the second Army patrol arrived at the the explosion site to rescuer the injured people from the first explosion,” noting that “The second explosion resulted in killing one soldier.”
