Parliamentary Health Committee calls to reveal sides behind importing expired medicines

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee called “The General Inspector of the Health Ministry to reveal the sides behind importing expired medicines that resulted in death of many citizens.”

MP, Hamza al-Kartani, of the Iraqiya Slate stressed that “The financial allocations of the Ministry are huge so that the Ministry is able to import medicines from the best sources in the world.”

“The corruption is spread in all the State institutions including the Health Ministry which is involved in importing the expired medicines,” he added.

“We have got information about providing expired medicines that resulted in death cases among the citizens,” he stressed.

He called “The deal with this issue urgently,” noting that “The Committee discussed this issue and issued the required recommendations in this concern.”
