Political reasons behind arresting me, says Jobouri

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of Diyala PC, Ismaeel al-Jobouri, pointed out “Political reasons are behind arresting me.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The arrest comes because I was nominated for the post of Diyala Governor.”

“As a proof, I held a meeting with the Commander of Diyala Police Forces and the Commander of Diyala Operations Command on last Monday and they did not mention any thing about an arrest warrant issued against me,” he added.

“I am now under arrest at the building of the Diyala PC,” he concluded.

Earlier, A security force arrested the member of Diyala Provincial Council, Ismaeel al-Jobouri, of the Iraqi Accord Front for charges related to article 4 of Anti-Terrorism Law on Tuesday.
