Construction Committee: Government responsible for delaying light cable project

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Committee for Services and Construction accused the government of “delaying the performance of the light cable project of the communication and internet to link with the neighboring countries through Kurdistan Region.”

The head of the Committee, Viyan Khalil, stated in a press conference on Monday “We hold the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, responsible for delaying the project of the light cable that links Iraq with the neighboring countries where it is not the only project that the government delays.”

“The statements over this project as being a spy on Iraq are groundless,” she added, calling to “Complete the project due to its economic income because the geography of Iraq contributes in bringing success to the project.”
