Iranian official arrives in Diyala

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) An Iranian official has arrived into Diyala province on Monday.

A source in Diyala Provincial Council reported to IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”The Iranian Deputy Governor of Karminshah province for economic affair has arrived to Diyala and met some Iraqi local officials and they discussed activating the economic memorandum of understanding which was concluded between the two countries earlier.”

The source added “The Iranian official visited the grave of the late Diyala Governor, Hashim al-Hayali, in Ghalbya cemetery and laid a wreath on his grave.”

The late Diyala Governor passed away due to a traffic accident on Kalar road which connects Diyala and Sulaimaniya provinces.”
