Syrian opposition’s rejection for Iraq initiative shows their intention to ruin Syria, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Kareem Elewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance pointed out that “The rejection of the Syrian opposition for the Iraqi initiative towards the Syrian crisis showed their intention to ruin Syria.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “This rejection reveals the Syrian opposition’s insistence on destroying Syria to divide it to serve American and Israeli intentions, especially if we put in mind that most of the Arab countries supported the initiative as a solution for the on going conflicts in Syria.”

“The Syrian opposition rejected the initiative because it was presented by Iraq which is considered as a part of the Syrian Government according to the ideology of the Syrian opposition, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey,” he emphasized.

He urged “The Arab countries to consider the initiative seriously to solve the Syrian crisis.”

Earlier, Maliki called in his speech during NAM Summit to take a unified stance to stop the blood shedding in Syria and to prevent the critical consequences of the armed clashes.

Maliki assured that “The Iraqi stance which was taken during the Arab Summit in Baghdad remained the same concerning stressing the political solution of the Syrian crisis through the dialogue between the Syrian Government and the Opposition.”
