Maliki, US Inspector General discuss Iraq Rebuilding Budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki discussed with the US Inspector General tasked with monitoring budget of Rebuilding Iraq and expenditures in Iraq after 2033.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited Sunday “During his reception for the US IG Stewart W. Ban in his office in Baghdad for the occasion of concluding his mission in Iraq, Maliki discussed with Ban the final report which will be issued by the Iraq rebuilding Office about the total expenditures in Iraq since 2003 as well as Iraqi possible notes on the report.”

The statement added “Maliki urged during the meeting to adopt accuracy and transparency while preparing the report.”
