Urgent – Car bomb explosion targets solace southern Hilla

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) About twelve persons were either killed or injured due to a car bomb explosion in southern Hilla city the capital of Babel province on Sunday.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Sunday that “The car bomb exploded targeting a solace in (Albu Sultan) Shiite mosque in Madhatiya area of Hamza Gharbi district of southern Hilla city,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing two persons and wounding eight to ten persons.”

The source added “The explosion caused material damage to the building of the mosque and burned five vehicles.”

The source concluded by saying that ”The police transported the dead bodies of the victims to the morgue and the injured people to the hospital for treatment.”
