Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized the stance of the government over offending the Prophet, Mohamed, PBUH, describing it as “Not as required.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday , he said “Those who support this project hate Islam that calls for love, peace among the divine religions.”

“The official stance of the government lacks power and clarity,” he added, calling “The government to send a condemning letter to the USA over showing the offending movie.”

“The government has to make huge demonstrations to denounce showing the offensive movie such as Egypt and Sudan, where the officials in Iraq are of Islamic backgrounds,” he concluded.
