Mortar shell hits police station in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A policeman and a citizen were injured due to a mortar shell explosion in western Mosul.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”The mortar shell targeted a headquarter of police regiment which is located near Nineveh Health Department of southern Mosul,” noting that “The explosion of the mortar shell resulted in injuring a policeman and a citizen who accidently was there at the explosion time.”

The source added “The police forces transported the two wounded persons to the hospital for treatment.”
