Nusayif demands relieving Iraq from UN’s sanctions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusayif of the Iraqiya Hurra Bloc demanded to activate the Iraqi Diplomacy during this period of time which witness holding the 67^th meeting for the General Assembly of the United Nations in order to relief Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7^th Chapter.

In a press statement, she said “It is important for the Iraqi Government to activate the Iraqi Diplomacy to walk side by side with the current preparations for holding the 67^th meeting of the General Assembly of the UN in New York in order to prepare for relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7^th Chapter.”

“The current phase requires preparing the political atmosphere to relief Iraq from the UN sanctions through building positive and solid relation with the great powers of the world and show the positive image of the New Iraq,” she added.

It is worth to mention that the 67^th meeting of the UN’s General Assembly will be held at the UN headquarter on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
