MoHR lifts remains of 45 martyrs from mass grave in Najaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Minister of Human Rights, Mohamed Shya’ al-Sudani, announced the completion of lifting the remains of more than (45) bodeis of martyrs from the Wadi al-Salam cemetery in Najaf province.

The Minister said in a press conference held at the Ministry’s building on Monday “The remains belong to the martyrs of the Shabaniya uprising of 1991 and they were from Najaf residents according to our information.”

He added that “The site of the mass grave was identified by the Ministry’s cadres during last Ramadan month,” assuring that “The digging works began on 1/9/2012 and lasted for 13 days.”

Sudani declared that “The Conference of circulating the former regime’s crimes will start on 19 to 21 of current September that comes within a series of conferences organized by the MoHR in this regard.”
