Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Eight persons were injured due to an Improvised Explosive Device IED explosion in northern Mosul.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Saturday that “The IED which was emplaced at the roadside exploded targeting an Oil Police Patrol in Qawseat area of northern Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province,” noting that “The explosion resulted in injuring four elements of the police patrols and four citizens who were accidentally near the explosion location.”

The source added “The explosion caused material damages to a patrol vehicle while the police transported the injured people to the hospital for treatment.”
