New Police Commander appointed in Babel

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) Brigadier, Abbas Abu Zaid al-Shamarn, assumed his new tasks as the new Commander of Babel Police Department.

The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported on Saturday that ”Shamarn received his post officially as the new Commander of Babel Police Department during a ceremony conducted at the Police Department on Saturday morning,” noting that “The previous Commander of Babel Police Department was the Major General, Sbah al-Fatlawi.”

The Ministry of Interior decided to appoint, on last Thursday, the Brigadier Abbas Abu Zaid al-Shamarn as the General Commander of Babel Police Department instead of the Maj. Gen. Sabah al-Fatlawi.”

The Interior Ministry issued on 6/July a decree to appoint the Maj. Gen. Sabah al-Fatlawi as the General Commander of Babel Police Department and dismissed the previous Commander Maj. Gen. Fadhel Rdad of his post.’
