Sinjari criticizes call for suspending parliament performance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Faris al-Sinjari, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized the call for suspending the performance of the parliament.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “This call is rejected because the government is attempting to weaken the parliament that suffers from the interferences of the executive authority.”

“The actual scene proves the executive authority to be the base of the problem due to its obstinacy and suspension of endorsed laws,” he added.

Earlier, the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Ali al-Allaq, called “The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to conduct the second phase of the Governmental Reduction due to the pressures,” urging “Maliki to suspend the parliament performance.”
