Iraqi football juniors defeat Omani counterparts in Asian Championship
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Junior team ended its match, of Saturday, September 22, 2012, against the Omani counterpart with (2-1) victory within the 2nd group of the Asian Championship U 17 held currently in the Iranian Capital, Tehran.
The Iraqi team scored first through the forward Mahdi Abdul Zahra at the fifth minute of the first half and the forward Samir Majid succeeded at the 35th minute to end the first half with two goals for the Iraqi team.
The Omani team managed to improve the score through their player, Hashim al-Ruwaishidi, at the 60th minute of the match.
The Iraqi team managed to reap the first three points from its first match in the 2nd group, which contains besides Iraq and Oman, the Australian and Thai teams.
