IA Commander sentenced to 2 months in prison

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An Officer of the Iraqi Army Third Division in Nineveh province assured that “The Military Court in Baghdad issued an imprisonment verdict against an IA Division Commander for corruption charges.”

The source reported to IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”The military court issued a two month imprisonment verdict against the Major General, Hayini Abdullah Khoshnaw, the Commander of the Iraqi Army Third Division, according to the article (42/2) of 2007 of the Iraqi Penal Code, for not committing to the instructions related to the food supplies for the IA soldiers.”

The source continued saying that ”The court decided to release the Assistance of the Iraqi Army Chief of Staff and the former Commander of the Iraqi Army Third Division, Khurshid Salim Hassan, who was suspected to be involved in the same crime.”
