Dikheel criticizes Governmental failure to confront corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Viyan Dikheel, the head of the Services and Construction Parliamentary Committee criticized the “Governmental failure in confronting corruption during the last two years.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “We cannot deny the efforts exerted by the government in fields of construction and rebuilding the country which suffered a lot from former wars, but regrettably, the current government failed to limit the rate of corruption in services ministries.”

“The ministries also suffer from absence of strategic planning since they have short term plans that do not exceed six months or a year which is not enough to build a country or develop exhausted services sectors in Iraq,” she stressed.

“The government and Planning Ministry should have set long term plans for five or ten coming years, especially for services sectors,” MP Dikheel concluded.
