Important damaged power cables fixed in Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The engineering and technical staff related to the General Directorate of Power Transmission of the south associated to the Ministry of Electricity completed the rehabilitation works to the electricity power grids of the northern Basra province after they exposed to great damages in Najibiya cable in particular of eastern Basra.

“Najibiya cable is linked with other power lines to cover the residential neighborhoods with electricity current in the province,” a statement by the MoE cited.

It pointed out that “The cable joined the service in an exceptional time.”
