Askari urges to settle Syrian crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, MP Sami al-Askari, urged the Iraqi Government to head actively towards settling the Syrian crisis.

Speaking to the Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said Thursday “Iraq, as the head of the Arab League, is demanded to cooperate more positively with the Arab and International Envoy to Syria, Al-Akdhar al-Ibrahimi, to support peaceful efforts to end the Syrian crisis.”

“The Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee is in harmony with the Iraqi Government’s stance represented by rejecting the armed settlement and foreign interferences in Syria as well as its call for adopting dialogue as a way out of the current crisis since which has serious impacts on the Iraqi situation and the region in general,” he concluded.
