Shihristani emphasizes cooperation between Iraqi universities, government institutions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shihristani, stressed the necessity for cooperation between the Iraqi Universities and the governmental institutions by supplying it with scientific expertise in engineering and medical sciences.

The Office of Shihristani reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”Shihristani met several Presidents, deans and professors of the Iraqi universities and discussed with them the educational situation and the means to develop its capabilities to promote the development plans with the qualified technical cadres.”

He added that ”Shihristani stressed the necessity of providing an advanced scientific data base to participate in building our country,” pointing that ”Iraq is witnessing major development process in all sectors.” \
