Najaf Agriculture Department launch campaign to combat insects

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Agriculture Department of Najaf province started a campaign, extended over (1500 Acres), to combat the insects that attack palm trees during autumn season.

The Director of Najaf Agriculture Department, Majed Jasim, stated to IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”The Agriculture Department started the campaign, under the supervision on the General Commission for plants protection within the Ministry of Agriculture, to combat the insects which affect the palm trees in Hydriya and Abassiya areas.”

He confirmed that ”The pesticides used in combating this kind of insects are environmental organic pesticides and do not cause any harm to human, animals and plants.” \
