Zibari, Kuwaiti counterpart discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Minster of Foreign Affairs Hoshyar Zibari discussed with the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah, the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations.

“Zibari met at the United Nations’ headquarter with the Kuwaiti Deputy Premier and Kuwaiti FM where the two sides discussed the bilateral relations and the ties with the United Nations and the Security Council concerning the international resolutions concerning Iraq and Kuwait,” according to a statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

“Both parties praised the mutual discussions conducted during this year and the positive progress achieved in the course of the two countries’ bonds,” the statement added.

“The meeting reviewed Iraq’s commitment to the international obligations and the importance of the cooperation between both countries to support relieving Iraq from the UN sanctions,” the statement concluded.
