Iraq Parliament lifts its session
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament has lifted its regular session of Saturday till next Monday.
A statement by the media office of the parliament cited “The parliament has finished its 26th session that was headed by the First Deputy Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail, in presence of 176 MPs.”
“At the beginning of the session, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee condemned assassinating the former Governor of Basra province, Mohamed al-Waili, calling the security forces to increase their efforts to reveal the doers,” the statement added.
“The parliament conducted the first reading to five law drafts,” the statement concluded.
