Barzani supports Erdogan’s Road Map for settling disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, expressed today his “readiness to provide support for the success of the road map adopted by the Turkish Justice and Development Party, led by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to resolve the problems.”

A statement by the PUK office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) today cited that “Barzani, within the framework of his visit to Turkey today, met with Foreign Affairs Minister, Ahmet Davuto?lu, and during the meeting, they discussed relations between Kurdistan Region and Turkey, and the two sides stressed the importance of these relations and the future steps to expand and strengthen it on the diplomatic and economic sides.”

The statement said that “Barzani expressed his support for the approach of the AKP in order to address the internal problems, particularly the Kurdish problem in Turkey.”

According to the statement “Barzani and Oglu emphasized that the Kurdistan Region and Turkey are two important neighbors and wished to elevate relations between the two parties to more advanced levels.”
