Bateikh describes Maliki’s visit to Russia as “Important”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White Iraqiya Bloc, Jamal al-Bateikh, pointed out that “The visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to Russia will help to settle the Syrian Crisis,” describing this visit as “Very Important.”

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, Bateikh said Tuesday “Iraq has an honest will to settle the Syrian crisis since it supports the Syrian people but it rejects foreign interferences in the Syrian crisis.”

“Russia is an important player on the international ground so it is important to consolidate the Iraqi relations with Russia on different cultural, scientific and sports levels rather than limit these relations by the armament only as the former regime did when it depended on cooperation on armament field only with countries of the world,” he stressed.

Such visits emphasize returning the Iraqi pioneer role in the region and the international arenas as well as Iraq’s participation in settling the crisis that face the Arab countries,” Bateikh confirmed.
