Lack of contact among political leaders behind continuity of current crisis, says Kartani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hamza al-Kartani, of the Iraqiya Slate pointed out that “The lack of contact among the leaders of the political blocs is the main reason behind the continuity of the current political crisis.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The President, Jalal Talabani, does not have a magical stick to solve the crisis where there is a difficulty in finding common grounds concerning the demands of the blocs.”

“This crisis is a result of defective performance of the current government since its formation,” he added.

“The solution is based on a genuine national partnership to adopt the national norms and the constitutional legislations to consolidate the interests of the country,” he concluded.

Iraq witnesses political crisis lasted for several months due to the disputes among the political sides related to the partnership and other issues which led some blocs to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, after holding meetings in Najaf and Erbil provinces.
