Jaafary, Iranian MoD discuss regional security situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, and the Iranian Minister of Defense, Ahmed Wahidi, discussed the security situation in the region.

A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Jaafary received Wahidi and the accompanied delegation that included the Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad,” noting that “Both sides reviewed the security situation in the region as they stressed enhancing the mutual cooperation between the two countries to support stability and to confront terrorism.”

“Both sides emphasized the necessity of exchanging the visits to upgrade the security relations to be suitable with the conditions of both countries,” the statement concluded.
