White bloc warns from targeting national, tribal figures

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc warned from a plot to target the national and the tribal figures.

A statement by the bloc received by IraqiNews.com cited “The White bloc condemns the attack against the Sheikh of al-Jihishat tribe, Adnan al-Burhan al-Jihishi, in northren Wassit province,” noting that “The bloc warns from an organized plan to target the national symbols.”

“The bloc calls the government and the security forces to grant great importance for such terrorist plots and to speed up capturing the doers to present them to justice,” the statement added.

Earlier, assassination attempts against the Chieftains were increased in Baghdad and other provinces recently.

Sheikh of al-Jihishat tribe, Adnan al-Burhan al-Jihishi, was injured when an Adhesive Explosive Device exploded inside his vehicle.
