Palestinian Ambassador calls Talabani to released one of the death sentenced detainees

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq, Dalil al-Qasos, called the President, Jalal Talabani, to release of the Palestinian detainees in Iraq, Ahmed Abdul Qadir, who is sentenced to death.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said ” According to the instructions of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, we have met Talabani and discussed about the case of the Palestinian detainee Ahmed Omer Abdul Qadir.”

“We have asked Talabani to personally interfere in this case and release Abdul Qadir as being the only supporter to his family,” he added.

“We have also met the head of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, Humam Hamoudi, and requested to immediately release Abdu Qadir because he is not involved in the criminal actions in Iraq,” he pointed out, noting that “We trust the Iraqi judicial system to release all the Palestinian detainees including Abdul Qadir.”

“During this week, I will visit Abdul Qadir and all the other Palestinian detainees in the Iraqi prisons,” he concluded.
