Maliki heads to Russia on 3-day visit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, headed to Russia in a three-day visit on Monday.

The spokesman of the government, Ali al-Dabbagh, received by IraqiNews.com “Maliki’s visit comes in a response to an invitation from the Russian President,” noting that “A delegation involves governmental officials and representatives of companies has accompanied Maliki.”

“Maliki confirmed the deep relations between Iraq and Russia in military, economic, oil and electric fields,” he added.

“Maliki assured that his visit comes o revive the mutual relations between the two courtiers, emphasizing that Iraq is heading towards the construction so we need to make use of all experiences especially of the Russian companies that have previous experience in Iraq,” he concluded.
