Talabani, Fadhila Islamic Party discuss political situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, stressed the necessity of exerting more efforts to strengthen the national unity and involve all the political sides in establishing the Iraqi State.

A statement by the Presidency Office mentioned on Monday “Talabani received a delegation from the Fadhila Islamic Party headed by the Secretary General of the Party, Hashim al-Hashimi, where the President listened to a detailed review by the delegation concerning the current political crisis and the suitable resolutions to address it.”

“The meeting highlighted the need to resort to fruitful dialogue among all the political sides and give priority for serving the interests of the Iraqi people,” the statement concluded.
