Assad nominates new Syrian Ambassador to Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, nominated a new Syrian Ambassador to Iraq after the suspension of the former Syrian Ambassador to Iraq, Nawaf al-Faris, from the Syrian regime.

The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) stated on Tuesday “Assad announced nominating Saddam Jadaan al-Dandah, as a new Syrian Ambassador to Iraq.”

“Dandah took the oath of office as a new Syrian Ambassador to Iraq when he met Assad and received the required tasks from him and wished him the success in his new tasks,” the Agency added, noting that “The oath of office were presented by the Syrian Vice-President and the Syrian Foreign Minister.”
