Maliki wants MoD affiliated to him, his party, says Alwani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate pointed out that “The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, rejects all the candidates of the Slate for assuming the Ministry of Defense because he wants a Minister who is affiliated to him and his party.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Maliki’s rejection for the IS candidates does not mean that he has intention to keep Sadoun al-Dulaimi as the Acting Minister of Defense.”

“If the IS failed in nominating its candidates then why the candidates of the Ministry of Interior by the Iraqi National Alliance,” he added.

“The IS called many times to speed up nominating the Security Ministers especially under the current deteriorated security situation,” he concluded.
