Hakim calls to form Supreme National Committee for people of special needs

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called to form a Supreme National Committee for people of special needs to provide the required job opportunities for them in addition to include them in the governmental projects.

During his speech in the First National Conference for the people of the special needs, Hakim said “The handicapped must be taken into consideration by the society, the government and the parliament in addition to the other institutions.”

“We must do our best to protect the people of the special needs,” he added, noting that “They are of a special sacrifices where they face challenges in their current conditions which make them different from other people.”

“the ratio of the people of the special needs in the Arab community is 10 % according to statistics of the United Nations,” he added, noting that “Unfortunately, the new statistics show that ration of the people of the special needs is the highest one in the Arab community due to the violence resulted from the war.”
