Rasoul assures to Chalabi, continuity of efforts to hold national meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Vice-President of Kurdistan Region, Kosrat Rasoul, assured to the head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, the continuity of the efforts to bring the various views closer to hold the national meeting.

A statement by the presidency of the Kurdistani Regional Government received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Rasoul received Chalabi and the accompanied delegation where they discussed the general situations in Iraq and the region in addition to the relations between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.”

Rasoul added “the efforts to bring the various views closer are continued to hold the national meeting headed by the President, Jalal Talabani, to save Iraq from the current crisis.”

“The two sides agreed that the dialogue among the political blocs is necessary to settle the current disputes where all must increase their efforts,” he concluded.
