MoE call to enhance environment of fuel stations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Environment intends to coordinate with the Ministry of Oil and municipality directorates in order to impose procedures on fuel stations to plant trees and grass in the areas around the stations and to take care of clean environment around the station.

The Ministry reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The MoE will issue new instructions to avoid gathering the fuel in the fuel stations and to write environmental remarks on walls in addition to paying more attention to the entrances and exits of the stations in order to purify the environment around the fuel stations.”

The statement pointed out ”The monitoring teams of the Ministry of Environment noticed during its regular inspection tours that the fuel stations do not commit to planting trees which aim to protect and enhance the environment.”
