Iraq needs to establish modern State that respects human rights

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed that “Iraq needs establishing a modern State that respects the human rights and deals with the citizens equally.”

A statement by Hakim’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received prominent figures and chieftains of Zbaid Tribes at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday,” noting that “He stressed that building the State is to be done through a government that involves all the harmonious sides that have a clear vision over setting the plans and the strategies.”

“Iraq has great resources and capacities but needs a vision to run these resource in a correct way, calling to adopt the international experts and companies to erect the services projects,” the statement added.

“Iraq has a variety of social communities and great civilization with a deep history as well as a strategic geographic location as it was and still assuming a vital role in the world,” the statement continued.

“Hakim emphasized the necessity of consolidate the Iraqi culture of tolerance, unity and solidarity to be exemplary in the Region,” the statement mentioned.

“Hakim assured that the regional agenda could not eliminate the social unity in Iraq as we will keep on calling for unity and peaceful coexistence,” the statement concluded.
